Professor Ralston Milton β€œRex” Nettleford (1933–2010) was a cultural icon, dancer, scholar, educator, and Vice Chancellor of the University of the West Indies. His advocacy for cultural identity, social justice, and the role of the arts in human development continues to inspire the Rex Nettleford Arts Conference.
